Federal University, Kashere has Matriculated 760 Students on Thursday
29th, January, 2015. The students who cut across the four faculties in
the University include 637 males and 123 females.In his speech during
the matriculation ceremony, the Vice- Chancellor, Professor Mohammed
Kabiru Farouk advised the students to be good citizens of the University
to enable it realize its dreams and ideals. He said the Management of
the University is determined to lay a solid foundation for a great 21st
Century university in Kashere.
The Vice – Chancellor disclosed
that currently FUK has enrolled 2,040 students in 38 academic programmes
in 19 Departments at levels 100- 400. While congratulating the
matriculating students, Professor Farouk urged them to make the best use
of the opportunity and privilege of being students to make their
parents, families and the nation proud.
He said the university
will maintain good relations with parents and guardians and assured of
providing them quality education, character development, safety,
security and personal growth and development among others. The Vice-
Chancellor therefore appealled to all stakeholders for support,
understanding, cooperation, and generous financial support especially
toward scholarship funds for deserving students, donation of buildings
and equipment among others.
The matriculation oath was
administered to the new students by the Registrar, Dr. Abubakar Aliyu
Bafeto. The ceremony also featured presentation of awards of prizes and
certificates to outstanding students in the last academic session. A
total of 22 students received prizes under Vice-Chancellors list while
76 received prizes under Deans’ list.
