BUK Expels 3 Students Over Rape

Authorities of the Bayero University Kano (BUK) have expelled a 300-level male students for allegedly having a carnal knowledge with a  female student.
The expulsion was announced in a statement made available to our correspondent in Kano on Sunday by the head, Directorate of Examinations, Admissions and Records (DEAR), Hajiya Fatima Binta Mohammed.
Fatima, said that management had approved the expulsion of the students for criminal conspiracy, threat to life and r-a-p-e.
She named the students as Abdulsalam Abduljalil, Tijjani Mohammed and William Seyi Solanke, all of the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences. The management has directed that the result of the three students be withheld.
A source at the school said the female student was molested outside one of the three female hostels at night while she was reading.
Fatima said the university, under the administration of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abuakar A Rasheed, would do everything to flush the bad eggs from the institution.
