The Vice Chancellor of the Lagos State University (LASU), Prof. John
Obafunwa was on Monday locked out of office by the members of Senior
Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and Non-Academic
Staff Union (NASU), LASU chapter.
It was learnt that the
aggrieved staff stoned and threw sachet water at the VC and other
principal officers with him leaving him no other chose than to hurriedly
leave the premises with the police men that were with him.
However,
the cause of the protest and agitations of the unions cannot be
ascertain as at the time of filing this report as effort to reach the
Public Relations officer of the school or the VC for comments proved
abortive.
