FG Appoints FASAKIN As Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji

The Federal Government has approved the appointment of Professor Adedayo Fasakin as the Pioneer Rector of the newly Established Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State. Until this appointment, Professor Fasakin was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) of FUTA. He brings to his new position an impressive academic and managerial experience spanning over three decades.
Fasakin, a Professor of Fish Nutrition and Utilization is a specialist in Fish Nutrition, post-harvest technology, pond management and environmental and aquatic pollution. Fasakin comes to the office with an impressive administrative credential garnered over the years. He was at different times, Head of Department, Dean, Students Affairs, Acting Vice-Chancellor, Member, University Senate, Chairman and Member of several statutory and ad-hoc committees of the Federal University of Technology, Akure.

Fasakin, 58 was trained at the University of Ibadan, the Federal University of Technology, Akure and University of Plymouth, England. He is a widely travelled academic and happily married with children.
