- 1Use any good search engine to look for the kind of art competition you are looking for! Type in ‘illustration competition’ into the search box. Beware of out of date sites and competitions!
- 2Subscribe to magazines like Startart, The Artist, ACA Magazine, Leisure Painter, Crafts Magazine, Tate magazine, Zing, Ceramic Review, A – N Magazine, Modern Painters, Artists and Illustrators Magazine, International Artist and many many more! In these magazines you should find competitions you can enter (some do not have websites, ask in your local newsagents).
- 3Enquire at a local art group, museum, library or art gallery – they might be able to give you some insiders information.
- 4Join a local art group and network with other like minded people, they might know of an ideal competition that you could enter.
- 5Keep a look out on art channels and programs on the television or even radio!
- 6Don’t give up until you find exactly what you are looking for.
- 7In terms of ‘entering’ the competition, the website, advertisement, show or magazine should tell you the next steps for entering the competition; with the address to send your art off to and a form to fill in!
