How to Connect Speakers to Your Laptop

If you have a laptop then you'll know that the built in speakers leave a lot to be desired. This article will show you how to connect up a decent set of speakers to your laptop without costing the earth.

Tips
  • You can use streaming sites like Spotify or We7 to listen to music for free. This enables you to enjoy a wider range of music.
  • Play around with your laptops sound settings and adjust effects, the equaliser etc.
  • Some speakers incorporate an MP3 cradle to store your MP3 Player or iPod on whilst using it with your speakers.
  • You can also use your new speakers with your MP3 player or iPod. Follow the above instructions but plug the jack into your MP3 Player instead of your laptop.


Warnings
  • Never touch the subwoofer of your speakers.
  • Playing with your sound settings too much may result in undesired results that are hard to undo.
