How to Add Programs to an OS Installation Disc with UltraISO

This will show you how to put program installers onto an operating system (OS) installer disk.
This is useful for creating a disk with commonly used programs, such as Skype and Chrome, already on it. It can also be used to put important drivers, such as wireless drivers, on the disk.
You may use another program but for this tutorial we will be using the program UltraISO.

Steps

  1. 1
Open UltraISO. In the bottom left of the window, find the folder where you saved your installation image to.
  2. 2
Locate the ISO in the folder you have just selected, in the section on the right hand side. Double click this to open it in the section above.
  3. 3
You can now add files in two different ways, with the same results.
    • You can go to Actions in the UltraISO menubar. Then press either Add Files (Or press F3 on your keyboard) to add individual files one by one. Or press Add Directory to add an entire folder.
    • You can also simply click and drag the folders, from Explorer, into the UltraISO window where it displays your installation image.
  4. 4
You can save files in two different ways, with the same results.
    • Go to File and press Save (or you can press Control+S) if you want it to be saved in the same file.
    • Or click Save As if you want to save the ISO with the programs separate to the original. This can also be done by pressing the small disk buttons on the toolbar below the menu bar.
  5. 5
A small window will then appear whilst it saves. This is a lengthy process so be patient.
  6. 6
Congratulations, you have now created your own installation image with your desired programs/drivers!
