Steps

Use a tool called Backup Box, which is a website built entirely to help people transfer files between different services.

Quickly create an account on Backup Box by entering your preferred email and password.

You will immediately be asked to "Click To Connect" a service. Select SFTP and enter in your server credentials.

Browse to the folder that you wish to transfer.

Authorize your Dropbox account by clicking the other "Click to Connect" button. Choose a friendly name, and then click "Authorize this connector."

Browse to the folder where you wish to receive your files.

Choose whether you want to archive and timestamp this transfer. This is useful for backups.

It's time to set your transfer in motion! Review everything to make sure that all of your settings are correct. Then finalize the transfer using the review button at the bottom of the screen. You will be given a prompt to accept the transfer, and once you agree, the files will start to move.

You can also schedule this transfer to happen automatically at a later date. Simply click "Schedule This" instead of "Transfer Now."

    The Process Is Complete!

Tips

Make sure you have enough space to receive your files! If you run out of disk space on your server, the transfer will fail.
Click 'Archive' to compress your database and make the files much smaller.

Warnings

Some files can't be transferred, especially if your server does not have read permissions for them.

Things You'll Need

    One or more SFTP servers.
    A Dropbox Account.
    A Backup Box Account.
    Just a few minutes.
