How to Use Make up to Make Your Eyes Look Bigger

If you are looking for a place to make your eyes look bigger you have come to the right spot. Keep reading to make your eyes big and beautiful!

Determine how you want your eyes to look, realistically. You already know you want your eyes to look bigger, but do you want them to look very natural using minimum makeup, or go for a more dramatic effect? You can achieve both and still make your eyes very noticeable.

Go for the natural look. This will give you that fresh, young look with beautiful eyes.
Use concealer, if needed, around the eyes. If you have puffy eyes or dark circles, concealer can hide these blemishes at least a little. It can also even out your complexion around your eyes, giving them a cleaner look.

Apply eyeliner. You don't necessarily have to, but it really does make your eyes pop. Do a very thin line (preferably in brown or soft black) softly traced under the eye. If done very lightly, eyeliner will look like your lower lashline and define your eyes, making them look bigger and whiter. Applying white eyeliner to the inside of your eyelid will also cause your eyes to look bigger!

Apply mascara. You want to choose a mascara that offers clean, seperated lashes so they don't look chunky or clumpy. Start at the roots and lightly brush upwards. If you don't like the way mascara looks on you, try a clear mascara. It subtly defines and lengthens your lashes without doing too much.
Apply eyeshadow. Using a color that matches your skin tone, brush lightly on the upper lid. Even white eyeshadow looks great on all skin tones and brightens the eye. Blend thoroughly and carefully to look more natural. Apply white eyeshadow to eye corners and right below the brow to cheer up the eye.

Go for the bold, dramatic look.
Again, apply concealer around the eyes. Be careful not to get some in your eye (really, it does sting!).
Use the above steps (in the applying natural makeup steps), only go darker and more definate. If you want to use bright color eyeshadow: if you have a pink or peachy undertone (spring) try sky blues, peaches and pastel pinks, yellow greens, and caramel colors; if you have a blue or pinkish undertone (summer) try pastel pinks, sky blues, lavenders and plums, and shimmery golds; if you have a golden or peachy undertone (autumn) try brilliant golds and coppers, ruddy or warm browns, and caramels; if you have a blue or pink undertone (winter) try blues (any shade!), bright pinks, icy silvers, and beiges. Or use colors according to your eye color: if you have brown eyes, try earthy tones such as browns, deep or olive greens, rustic purples and dirty blues; if you have green eyes try ruddy browns, coppers, and purples. If you have blue eyes, try dusty browns, emerald greens, periwinkles, and pinks, and for hazel eyes try browns or olive greens, coppers and silvers. Using colors suitable to your eye and skin tone can really bring out your eyes.

Tips
Try to blend the eyeshadow well
Line the crease of your eye with a darker shadow to visually add depth to your eyes
