Ajasin Varsity Out With 21 Books

THE Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State has unveiled 21 regulatory and policy books to boost the running of organizations in the country.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Femi Mimiko, who presented the books, said the initiative would make governance and decision making more predictable, easier and transparent.

He said, “I am delighted today and I am particularly enthused that we have the opportunity to present all of these regulatory books. Any organization that must survive must continue to grow and operate maximally and must consciously build institutions.

“These books are products of popular participation. All of these materials are products of all of us.”

He also urged members of staff of the university to imbibe the vision of its founding fathers.

He said, “I am confident that with the spirit of cooperation that we have at this level, some day, we will discover that we will not only be a 21st century university that we have set out to be, but also be the leader in the 22nd century.”

The Chairman of the Presentation Committee and Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Rotimi Ajayi, hailed the initiative, saying it would further lift the university to loftier heights.

He said, “This remarkable development is a confirmation of the Vice Chancellor’s determination to build a 21st century university. The university is already on the right pedestal not only to achieve the goal, but to also sustain the status.”

Ajayi also thanked the VC and the other members of staff for supporting the initiative.
