How to Make a Paperclip Top

This will show you how to make a spinning top out of a paperclip. This project will take a lot of patience.
For more information visit www.campusflava.com

 Steps
  1. 1
    Straighten out the paperclip.
  2. 2
Take your ruler, measure 1 cm on the top and bottom of the paperclip, and bend each end in opposite directions.
  3. 3
Take the middle section of the paperclip, and bend it into a circle so the two ends are touching.
  4. 4
Measure the distance across the circle(diameter)and cut it in half (radius). Take each end and measure the distance, then bend that portion towards the center of the circle. The angle created by this should be a little more than 45 deg
  5. 5
Tweak! This is the hardest part. First check to make sure the top and bottom stems are not crooked with each other. Make sure they are in the middle of the circle. Keep in mind the circle does not have to be perfectly round.
  6. 6
Take your top and spin it all you want, but keep track they can easily be lost. If stepped on it will be destroyed.
